​Beyond my design practice, I spent six years building and running my own design-led women's wear brand. The venture gave me hands-on experience across the entire product lifecycle—from concept development, range planning, material sourcing, manufacturing, branding, pricing, and supply chain management to customer experience and business operations. Entrepreneurship taught me to think beyond aesthetics, enabling me to make design decisions that are not only creative but also commercially viable and scalable. ​ A significant part of this journey involved working closely with Indian artisans and traditional craft communities. I explored indigenous materials, regional techniques, and handcrafted processes to create contemporary apparel that celebrated India's rich craft heritage while making it relevant for modern lifestyles. My objective was to build a brand that combined thoughtful design with responsible production, supporting skilled artisans and showcasing authentic Indian craftsmanship through a contemporary lens. ​ While the brand was well received, I made the difficult decision to close it due to unforeseen personal circumstances. The experience, however, remains one of the most valuable chapters of my career. It strengthened my resilience, broadened my understanding of design as both a creative and business discipline, and continues to influence the way I approach product development today.
